Hello,
I'm trying to install the mcu8051 ide in the OpenSUSE 11.2, but with no success by now. There are some dependencies wich I can't supply, like md5 and crc.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks.

Hi,
When installing mcu8051 on Ubuntu 9.10 I get the warning that tclx is not correctly installed:
9/9 Checking for library Tclx
Library present ... NO !
Version 8.0 ... NO !
But the package tclx8.4 is installed. Does someone know why the Ubuntu version is not compatible? When trying to run the program anyway I get offered workaround when compiling which does not work because of a "strange bug somewhere in your operating system".
/Markus

A story about itcl-3.4 and Segmentation Fault ...

This library is one of most significant Tcl extensions, it implements sophisticated OOP model in Tcl. It would be hard to write a large program without OOP, so this library is very important for this software. But there is a compatibility problem with Tcl-8.5 and older versions of itcl. If you haven't itcl version 3.4 or higher, this program will probably crash immediately after startup due to Segmentation Fault.
